In our modern world, physical culture has all but been removed from our lives.
To get the temperature just right in our homes, all we need to do is push a
button on the thermostat. When it’s time for a quick and convenient dinner, we
push a button on the microwave or hit a fast food restaurant for a drive thru
meal. Living in a convenience-based suburban area makes it very possible
to lead a lifestyle that is totally void of any “real” physical activity.
This lifestyle has left many of us in a sad state. We’re un-athletic,
de-conditioned, overly fat, weak, unathletic and many of us are on the verge of
being put on medications to be considered “healthy”. Yuck!
